Rub-ar-roon 312 Maharat Rd, Wat Pho. T: 0-2622-2312. Open: 08:00-18:00 daily. Cafe sign is in Thai, look for the wrought iron chairs on the street. Great little cafe to rest for lunch between visiting the Grand Palace and Wat Pho. Located behind Wat Pho in a row of old shops, near Tha Thien pier. Serves delicious fried rice and noodles, salads, fruids and special Thai herbal teas.

Great cocktail bar up on the roof terrace, a nice place to have a drink and watch the world sail by. Worth going just for the spectacular view of the Wat lit up at the night. Food is a mixture of Thai and Western. Excenllent place to take visitors, catch the river ferry from Sathon pier and after dinner you can walk five minutes down the the road to the night flower market.
