Popular American Art Museum Compaсia 2691, Santiago (56-02) 682-2208 / 682-1480 Webpage: http://www.uchile.cl/mapa/index.htm Description: this museum belongs to the University of Chile's Art School and displays representative samples of the popular art of different countries in the American Continent, donated by their respective governments to mark the occasion of the University's first centenary (1842-1942) Timetable: Monday through Friday from 10 a.m. to 12.00 noon and from 2.30 to 4 p.m.

National Natural History Museum Quinta Normal, Santiago (56-02) 680-4631 / 680-4615 Webpage: http://www.mnhn.cl Description: it contains valuable anthropological, botanical, entomological, geological, hydro-biological, taxidermy and zoological specimens, as well as exhibits of Chile's native plants and mineral ores. Timetable: Tuesday through Saturday from 10 a.m. to 5.30 p.m.; Sundays and holidays from noon to 5.30 p.m. (April through August) and from 11 a.m. to 6.30 p.m. (September through March). The museum will be closed on January 1, Holy Friday, May 1, September 18 and 19, November 1 and December 25.

Cathedral Museum Cathedral Church, Plaza de Armas s/n Description: on display in its three halls: the Sacristy, the Chapter House and the Library, you will find valuable religious imagery as well as valuable manuscripts and other works of the 16th - 18th centuries. Timetable: mornings only Mondays from 10.30 a.m. to 1 p.m., and afternoons from 3 to 6 p.m.
